Life in Manly

G'day Mate
it has been a while.... no blog without adventurous trip, nothing much happen but same stuffs everyday. yes life repeats. It is Valentine Day, lovers' day... i walked to get roast chick and passed some restaurants, i saw couples and many couples having valentine's dinner with a glass of wine... some couples were on the streets walked hands in hands..kissing.. what a night of Valentine... new thing to see
Summer has been shitty and random... rainny, cloudy, thunderstorm, couple days are bright and sunny. beach is always packed... surfer, beach bum, tourists etc... the surf competition has been on for 3 days and will keep going for the next 7 days.... the beach of course always pack... it has huge stage, tents, skateboard fields, and vendors... it is such a big event..but i care less.. :)
i still haven't gone anywhere other than manly area and city... Australia is such a big country and lots of things to see... but i havent had the chance to hit back to the road... still try to get over the excitement of my last trip. i have seen too much and i have enough for now. im looking forward for the next trip and adventures. im kinda lose my excitement over the holiday and i need to wok till i hate it so much need vacation then i can feel the new excitement, yes we need an excitement in life even just simple one. kinda like an achievement in a small portion... getting a new pair of shoes for instance lol
we have settled and still try to get our shits done, slow but sure... im ticking the list, Visa, Work Permit, Job, driven licence, bike, etc..etc.. yes it is not easy to be an immigrant, even we both consider ourselves as an Australian but still we live like 1st immigrant generation, struggle and work hard for a better life. but trust me, we r not the only one. :)
Manly is such a famous and expensive place to live... they call it as northern beaches is an area where the upper class of Ausi live. a small crappy studio rent can cost $2000 / month (excluded the electricity, water, or other bills) just like in San Diego or other famous beaches, people live in small tiny unit / house. it makes sense why the living cost is expensive... many people wants to live near the beach (except for winter i guess), that's why we r going to wait till winter come then we will start searching for a better place, hopping those tourists left and makes the rent price goes down
The beaches are gorgeous, white sand, blue ocean, it is just beautiful, perhaps when i have my full licence i will drive around neighbour and find more beaches... northern beaches lays beach after beach... 10 minutes drive to dee why beach, 10 minutes drive to curl curl beach, there are 12 beaches from Manly to Palm beach.. and yes most of these people can surf. they have surf lesson / class start it from may be 6 years old.. no wonder why?..lol. it is like baseball for American where they teach even the infant how to play.
Anyway, back to the surf competition, my europian friend keeps saying "OMG there are so many good looking n fit people in Manly, they are many and everywhere" i was just laughing... yes there are.. those surfers surf everyday, build their muscle not only boys but also girls... they all look healthy, real Ausi, totally blonde and talk with their accent (some are europian)... these surfer start to surf early in the morning.. i saw some of them start at 6 surf for 1-2 hours then go to work.. they bring their suit and get change on the beach.. such a beachyyy... people don't care... some walk around with panty and bikini,... just like in the movie but kinda new for me:) the competition has couple days left... this weekend is going to be fun... DJ, live music and party on the beach.. (good thing alcohol is prohibited)
Another 3-4 months before winter.. im going to try to enjoy the sun and summer in Australia (as i did  in Hull) i havent swam to the ocean but i will, i want to try to surf (those kids can what cant i)
anyway, it is still in Valentine mood, Happy Valentine everyone... mine was great, had dinner at Thai food:) hope the same with u.. Thanks again for reading my blog... i will keep writing for sure but not as often as i used to.

You won’t miss cookies if u never have one but once you have one and u like it im sure you want more! Im talking about me liking US. my friends might not miss it coz they have never been there and experience the life but I did and I know how it feels like! I have been to only 3 great countries where people wish to stay and immigrant; Canada, US and Australia. I compare a lot about each and I conclude or in my personal opinion US is my choice. It is not because the super power country, police of the world etc, but I see it from the “quality of life” that this county offers for me or perhaps my kids in the future. The quality of life, there is so much better… im talking about very simple things I need for daily life such us things that makes easy in the kitchen ; wash disher, nice oven, good clean water, cheap groceries, cheap food / eating out, good shopping,   very good transportation system , quick response of 911 or fire fighter, good sanitation, quick services (bank/post office/stor

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi

Walk thru Harbour Bridge

My full time job just required me to come 4x a week, i had Friday off last week and Monday off this week so basically i had long weekend! which is great so i could have some times for my self and write this blog. well i did work on Saturday part time job but just for 3 hours making $26/hours extra $60 to pay my phone bill. I call my family alot lately as i miss them more and more, this month i spent $90 for my Vodafone! I wanted to go to Brisbane as  have never been there but perhaps sometime this month or next month.  i cant stuck like this doing nothing but work -eat and sleep. I always end up feeling exhausted at the end of the day and refuse to do anything but sit in the couch and watch TV or sleep. Yesterday i drove to Neutral bay 20  minutes from Manly to see my work mate Maureen, i also met her guy housemate and we had lunch. It was nice. Hose is her housemate is from Mexico and his bf ( i forgot the name) is from Scotland. Everywhere you go in Australia, most of those
