LAX - Logan

We stayed in LA for 2 nights just to rest, We stayed at the la Quinta hotel 5 minutes from the airport with shuffle bus in Inglewood street. It isn't the best part of LA neighborhoods but we care less as we need was rest. We all jet leg slept during the day and up at night. The second night we finally managed to put both boys to sleep then suddenly we felt the building was shaking. Sometimes after 14hours flights you might think you still feel like in the airplane. It took awhile to realize it was an earth quake! We rushed to leave the hotel I grabbed Noah and Shea carried 35 pounds zack who was still sleep. We took the stairs from 7th floor! When we walked out, the street was empty! No body felt the earth quake other than us and young couple from next room. The rest of them must sleep through as it was at 1 am. when it happened, both boys awake! That was it! Zack didn't want to go back to sleep and was up from 1am until 10 am! What a night!!
I couldn't  believe how hard it was just to get through airport security system! With all the terrorist and suicide booming happened around the world, they make it even harder for us or everyone to get into the check in counter. But we made it!
We landed in Logan airport (Boston) at 9:30. Another 5,5hrs flight from LA. It wasn't too bad. Noah was sleeping pretty much the entire flight. We met few people who also flew from Australia to Boston. Mr. Shea was picking us up at the airport. He took us to Worcester. It is always nice to see Mr and Mrs Shea and introduce their new grandchild Noah. We got to their condo at 11ish. It wasn't a fun car ride as Noah screamed pretty much the entire time as it was his 3rd car ride.
We still jet leg didn't really sleep that much. The next day we went to our great aunt 100th years old party I got to see everyone at one time. It was kinda overwhelming, but we glad we made it.  It is a rare occasion where you get to celebrate 100th years old bday party! I don't even know any body who is 80ist or 90ist. Bless Aunty Anna and she is Amazing. She looks the same like last time I saw her 2 years ago still as sharp as nail and healthy.
Zack loves to play with his cousin Max and they stick like glue. He does pretty much what Max does and says as we call them double trouble but they both so cute! So happy to see them playing nicely. At this age when you have kids you are kinda observe and filter what's the best for you and family. Every decision you make is involved around what your kids childhood memories will be like! That's why we try to make the best of it! Zack migh not remember what happens in his very early life but the connection he will have benefits and helps to create his characters.
We stayed in Woncester for few nights then we drove to cape cod to stay with Karen and Paul's house for few days. It is always nice to see them and hang out with them. They both such a easy going people. The house is always looks beautiful and clean. We got to rest and overcome the jet leg.
Beach house in Hull is where we were heading to! I always love the beach house. Hull is such a beautiful town surrounded by the sea. I love ocean. And the houses! I feel like I'm in old fashion movies
Life with young kids is always crazy and hectic. Zack is almost three but still really depends on us for his well being. He has been eating fries, chocolate and other crappy food during this vacation! I keep telling myself ah he is on vacation! But for 6 weeks ah that's abit too much. oh well as Shea said he is growing,

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi ...

Motherhood

Motherhood! I really enjoy being a mum, perhaps because my kids are young and I am  still in complete control of their life! their well being are depends on me as their mum. They said "Teach them what you wanted to learn when you were a little instead of give them what you wish to have" im not sure what I wanted or wish to learn. Perhaps Piano, I always wish I could be able to play any musical instruments or perhaps I wish I have the "people skill" how to deal with people as I was so shy. Most of those leaders aren't really the smartest but one thing they have in common is their skill of how to convincing or pursuing people! I know for sure the only precious thing I could give my kids is my time! playing and explaining thing. they are little so everything is new and there is always new exciting thing for them to know. like last week I told Zack we are going to have a walk to the hill next to little manly beach where there are little bunnies because...
