Just Manly

I’m back, at Manly Library (since i still dont  have my own internet) writing with less travel story to share since we r settling and not travelling anymore at least for now.  Life is pretty much repeated like everyone else… wake up in the morning, walk along the beach, hang out, party, eat and sleep. I’m still adjusting this new place, new circumstances, new accent, new friends, new culture and new country. It is not easy, it takes time but I’ll be fine. I haven’t been to the famous opera house or any tourist sightseeing since I live here so I just take it slow.

Manly beach, is getting crowded every week, tourist keeps coming and summer is nearly there. the weather is getting nicer and warmer, many people are started to swim in the ocea (for them is nice for me in freaking cool)… and the beach is always packed especially during the weekend. We live 2 minutes away from the beach and bay n yet I haven’t gone there. I met so many Japanese, French, Brazilian Germany, and Europeans. They come with students/working holiday visa and most of them are working or go to school. Hospitality or tourism is the easiest job to find at the moment since it's summer.

Summer invites those backpacker or young traveller to come and have a good time. yes party is always happening everywhere especially during  the weekend. Those young backer or students work / study during the weekdays and party hard during the weekend. It makes sense coz they r enjoying their short time in Manly and try to have the best of it. Manly is such an international community coz most of the people who live especially near the beach are from somewhere else. The apartment we live has maybe 7-10 people from different nation; Indonesia, America, France, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, German, etc. im happy coz most of them speak English as their second language like i do and they have their accent

I do love meeting people and hang out but not too much party. the guy who live next door always have party every single weekend. When a bunch of people drink and drunk, catastrophe might happen and it did happen here. last 3weeks on Friday night, 2 police came and stopped the party coz the music was too laud and it was late after mid-night, the next night the neighbor next door had fired,,, good thing they set it off but still some crowded and police came. It was so scary… since I witnessed a big fire in San Diego… I have this panic attack. But then last week I accidentally burn tea towel, the fire alarm was on so laud made the whole neighbor went out of their house…. OMG I was so scared… nothing serious but a lot of smoke. The alarm was on for maybe half an hour…

Motherhood

Motherhood! I really enjoy being a mum, perhaps because my kids are young and I am  still in complete control of their life! their well being are depends on me as their mum. They said "Teach them what you wanted to learn when you were a little instead of give them what you wish to have" im not sure what I wanted or wish to learn. Perhaps Piano, I always wish I could be able to play any musical instruments or perhaps I wish I have the "people skill" how to deal with people as I was so shy. Most of those leaders aren't really the smartest but one thing they have in common is their skill of how to convincing or pursuing people! I know for sure the only precious thing I could give my kids is my time! playing and explaining thing. they are little so everything is new and there is always new exciting thing for them to know. like last week I told Zack we are going to have a walk to the hill next to little manly beach where there are little bunnies because...

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi ...
