2012 Trip is just started

Another long flight home, my trip is just about to start it. I left Manly took 8 am fast ferry to the circular Quey it cost extra $2 than normal ferry but save 15 minutes of your time. Train took less than half an hour for $16.50 to terminal. This time travel I brought less baggage. I have learnt a lesson from my previous trip. travel light:), I don’t want to burn the bridge so on Monday I came to my workplace to say bye and promised to come back. i definitely need a jobby job after this trip..hell yes, im soon going to be broke!! Broke!! I’ve got my car washed, got Shea wii for his birthday present, cleaned up the flat etc. I got things done!
Anyway… I found this cheap flight to Jakarta by Air Asia for $460,”you got what you pay” and I believe in this case yes price is a matter!!. It was such a long 9 hours flight to Kuala Lumpur in a tiny seat with no food, movies or games such a pain! It was really low class flight… plus babies were crying for a whole trip. Guddd damn! I love kids but not on the plane. Some kids were running around the plane cabin back and forth, must be hard to keep them stay still, poor mom. i kept looking at my clock and it felt like so slow... my ipod is the only option. Maybe next time I will use Garuda airlines… direct flight to Jakarta.

5 hours transit in Kuala Lumpur, I was so hungry and had no money either to buy food. Good thing I brought my leftover Rupiah from last trip, I exchanged to ringgit made it to RM35. 15 Ringgit meals ($5) good enough to get me thru the trip until Jakarta. The flight was also delay half an hour… there were so many Indonesian worker on the plane who works as a maid/cleaner in Malaysia. Most of them go home for ramadhan to see their family, just like me. I talked to one of them and she thought I also work as a maid in Malaysia but when I told them I live in Sydney, She turned round.
The plane left KL at 11pm it was 2 hours flight… pretty quick compare to 9 hours I had.  I slept the whole trip… it was like 1am for me. it landed smoothly in terminal 3, an empty terminal at 12 midnight.. shut!!! I didn’t know where to go. I was too scare to take midnight taxi… risking my life. Jakarta is such a huge city cant trust no body… I decided to stay in the terminal walk around and write this blog another 5 hours to go before the sun setL but i just booked the hotel n I’m going to stay in a nice for a night and postpone my flight to Jambi till tomorrow, well i bought a new flight ( i really shouldnt burn $ while i have many places to go and see, but well it happens). I need a long hot shower and a good sleep after those hours flight. I also need to do some shopping for the wedding or may be a massageJ I will be well rested when I get home.
2 flights done… 9 more flights to go!!! counting downJ

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi ...

I call my family alot lately as i miss them more and more, this month i spent $90 for my Vodafone! I wanted to go to Brisbane as  have never been there but perhaps sometime this month or next month.  i cant stuck like this doing nothing but work -eat and sleep. I always end up feeling exhausted at the end of the day and refuse to do anything but sit in the couch and watch TV or sleep. Yesterday i drove to Neutral bay 20  minutes from Manly to see my work mate Maureen, i also met her guy housemate and we had lunch. It was nice. Hose is her housemate is from Mexico and his bf ( i forgot the name) is from Scotland. Everywhere you go in Australia, ...

muslim Celebration in Oz

When you are somewhere abroad then someone asks "where r u from" the answer is always "Indonesia" but then when u r somewhere in Indonesia and someone asks "where are you from" then will be "Jambi" yes i always miss my country not the crazy traffic Jakarta or corrupt government but the people, the weather and the food. the people is all the matter... especially my family and friends. i miss speaking in my own language, eating Indonesia's street food which cost $1 and friendly smiles of my people. Nov 6 (if I'm not mistaken) was happen to be the Idul Adha, one of Muslim big celebrations. i searched the mosque in Manly area and they have some nearby. i called and came for the pray. we had no car at the moment so i had to go myself by bus. up early and left home at around 6ish. i took my first bus to Dee why (area next to  Manly) $3.30 stopped half way coz i wasnt sure the location then i took my first taxi to the mosque. we prayed in the f...
