Ramadhan in Sydney

Welcome August,half year to go...
and August means Ramadhan, fasting month for muslim. This is my first Ramadhan in Sydney. No food nor drink for a whole day. good thing it is winter so i can eat an hour early than back home. some people think it is crazynnot to eat but i do what i belief to do at least i know what it feels like to be in hunger so i'll be appriciated food more and not to waste it. sometimes we eat too much more than our body needs it. well yes if you are teenagers you need to eat more as your body is growing but us..??? I have no problem with fasting and get use to it. i have done it since i was 5years old. and i do it every year for the last 23 years of my life. well if you put your mind into something im sure you can do anything. i remember last year when i had to do fasting in US, it was summer and the day was so long.. i had to stay until 8.30pm but i did it and i was fine.

what i like from this ramadhan is that i can fit on my old jeans. feeling so light and good. i guess it is good to have a month break from those greesy, oily, spicy or any kinda of food and drink that torturing your body a whole year. Fasting teaches me to relax and take things slow, to be patient, to hold the temper, temptation etc. you have to really commit to yourself.

About a week and half im going to fly back to Indonesia. this ramadhan makes me miss my family more. the celebration after a month fasting Idul Fitri what we called it in Indonesia is coming soon. im excited as excited as when i was kid. this is like christrmas for Muslim but in different way. a big festival and feast for everyone. alot of delicious food, family and relatives visit each other asking for forgiveness etc. Getting merriage!!! we r also going to have Indonesian wedding, this is going to be fun.. imagine Shea an American has to wear traditional custume who doesnt even speak the language. Last year was In Boston... the engagement was in Amrican way.. now its my turn!! Indo style.

now or never... i just put china in my next trip yes im going to travel!!! Just applying for VISA it costs me $90, im sure it will be much cheaper if i apply in Jakarta. Great wall and frobiddin city... just to think about it makes me excited... so excited im afraid if i go back to Sydney straight away after this indo visit i might stuck work and study...cant go anywhere. real life sucks work and work. we are definately going back to US next year but its going to be a short visit. next will be either Indonesia or USA. Great thou at least we got to travel every year to visit our family.

everything turns perfect...i can say life is good. even better than the pretending life like everyone post in facebook:) no complain no more... it happens and i will keep dreaming big for sure!!!

Sydney-Jakarta-Jambi-Jakarta-Beijing (China)-Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)- Singapore-BALI!!!-Perth-Melborne and back to sydney!!! it is going to be pain in the butt off and on airoplane... hey you got to do what to got to do!! travel day is always suck but TRAVELLING!!! is fun more than words can describe!
i love travelling!!

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi ...

Motherhood

Motherhood! I really enjoy being a mum, perhaps because my kids are young and I am  still in complete control of their life! their well being are depends on me as their mum. They said "Teach them what you wanted to learn when you were a little instead of give them what you wish to have" im not sure what I wanted or wish to learn. Perhaps Piano, I always wish I could be able to play any musical instruments or perhaps I wish I have the "people skill" how to deal with people as I was so shy. Most of those leaders aren't really the smartest but one thing they have in common is their skill of how to convincing or pursuing people! I know for sure the only precious thing I could give my kids is my time! playing and explaining thing. they are little so everything is new and there is always new exciting thing for them to know. like last week I told Zack we are going to have a walk to the hill next to little manly beach where there are little bunnies because...

Walk thru Harbour Bridge

I call my family alot lately as i miss them more and more, this month i spent $90 for my Vodafone! I wanted to go to Brisbane as  have never been there but perhaps sometime this month or next month.  i cant stuck like this doing nothing but work -eat and sleep. I always end up feeling exhausted at the end of the day and refuse to do anything but sit in the couch and watch TV or sleep. Yesterday i drove to Neutral bay 20  minutes from Manly to see my work mate Maureen, i also met her guy housemate and we had lunch. It was nice. Hose is her housemate is from Mexico and his bf ( i forgot the name) is from Scotland. Everywhere you go in Australia, ...
