Darley Rd Manly #hoME Sweet Home

We finally moved to our own place, YES!! so happy, after 2 weeks sleeping here and there, i finally unpacked my suitcases.
After city visit, we went back to BJ's house and took over Johnny D room. Turner (whose room we took last week) finally got his room back  and he was so happy coz he doesn't have to sleep in the sofa, now Johnny D's turn, we made him slept in the sofa... (sorry Johnny).
Tuesday morning, we both were excited especially Shea... we moved to this new place in Darley road Manly, 2 minutes walk to ferry, very good area but not the best place to live. these old building apartment has 8 small studios and most of it are rent by Brazilian or students which during the weekend it turns to be a party house. ours is ok, with kitchen (most important), small toilet and good side bedroom. Shea scrubbed everything from the floor and toilet, he cleaned up the whole studio apartment, vacuumed, mopping, threw some old furnitures out and get new furniture in. i really wish we could live in the city (which we can pay half what we pay now) but Shea wants the beach and no bargain...
Only people with $$ can live here coz rents are so expensive, those people don't really care living in a small place as long as near the beach. we r poorest of the richest...   how do i explain this.... ummm yes i always complain about the price.. all about the price and living cost. it just shocks me coz i come form Indo where everything is so cheap and here everything is 10x more expensive... even US is way cheaper than here...one times laundry can cost me bloody $10... ($5 washing and $5 drying) it's ridiculous i just can laugh while bitching when i do the laundry.. lol.
Yesterday night i finally could cook my own food for the first time without spending fortune just to get the meal... (most of the menu costs more than $15 here, except burger king or Mc. D for $5), break fast can cost $15-$20/each... we've been eating junk food for the last 2 weeks...n yesterday we finally be able to eat something green... we still have no internet and stable job, slow but sure we will.
now i can say Home sweet home!!!

ps: apparently they have gay channel here, so i've been watching this channel... while Shea giving me disgust look:)

Motherhood

Motherhood! I really enjoy being a mum, perhaps because my kids are young and I am  still in complete control of their life! their well being are depends on me as their mum. They said "Teach them what you wanted to learn when you were a little instead of give them what you wish to have" im not sure what I wanted or wish to learn. Perhaps Piano, I always wish I could be able to play any musical instruments or perhaps I wish I have the "people skill" how to deal with people as I was so shy. Most of those leaders aren't really the smartest but one thing they have in common is their skill of how to convincing or pursuing people! I know for sure the only precious thing I could give my kids is my time! playing and explaining thing. they are little so everything is new and there is always new exciting thing for them to know. like last week I told Zack we are going to have a walk to the hill next to little manly beach where there are little bunnies because...

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi ...
