We made it to Sydney after long direct flight from LA, it was such a nightmare but good thing we managed to sleep in the aeroplane. we left Mission beach at around 1ish. 10th of Oct, we woke up like our normal days of travelling, late at 10ish. a lady knocked the door and asked us to leave the house because the house keeper will clean up and new guest will come at 1. they didn't tell us or may be we never checked the schedule. Good thing we have packed our stuffs but still things are everywhere. they kicked us out of the place
we have less than an hour to leave the house, i just put all my stuffs in the suitcase and all the left over food in the plastic bag, had a quick shower then left the the house. Yogi picked us (couldn't imagine if he wasn't there, where else could we go) with all our big suitcases and bags, we threw it the back of the trunk. we continued doing unfinished laundry at Yogi and Loli's house. i did the same mistake, eating spicy chicken wings a day before we left, it gave me such a hard time coz i needed to stay near the toilet. we got 2 pm train to LA. said bye to Loli and Yogi (cant find friends as cool n nice as them, they are one in the million), im going to miss them and miss the game "Parcheesi" (we played a lot during staying in SD) i told Yogi "if i were you i would be happy coz kevin joseph is leaving". i felt bad coz we ruined everyone schedule:)
with all the bags we have got on and off the train ($55) and shuffle bus ($13) to the airport. we made it but 5 hours earlier. so we sat and waited, it was 6 hours before we got our meal in the aeroplane so i wanted to eat something but we only had $7 left. the food in the airport is so expensive as always the only option we had was Mc.D dollar menu... (i had burger king as my first meal in US and Mc. D as my last meal:). Good thing we both have movies on laptop enough to kill the time.
it was big @ss aeroplane, i have never been to this big plane in my life. Qantas airlines, two floors aeroplane. we were in the first floor. i kept looking at my watch every half and hour. time felt so slow when u stuck in a tiny seat. i watched 3 movies and finally fall asleep. good sleep for 6 hours, good 4 hours left. it was 15 hours flights.
we landed at 7.30 Sydney time. i was a bit nervous dealing with the immigration and had prepared what to say if they ask, but they never asked anything and stamped my passport. they didn't even ask when i'm going to leave, how long am i going to stay etc. umm it was easy. this time we tough it just like when we travelled in South East Asia, we took the train to the city cost $13/each and ferry to manly ($7/each) with all of our bags for sure.
i saw sign say "G'day mate", yes WELCOME to Sydney, Australia.. new land, new home, new friends, new cultures, new accents, new experiences.. etc.
