Counting down the days!

It's exactly a week before out next departure, Sydney Australia. OMG 5 months already passed, long trip we have... San Diego has been fun, i met new people, going here and there. we r kinda busy of nothing, meeting people, party here and there. the weather for the last couple days is beautiful, nice warm sunny day. I'm started to love this city. i could see the view clearly, the beach, the bay, palm trees etc spectacular... such a beautiful city.
we have kept going, meeting people, make plan, BBQ, parties, etc..which is good, keep me busy:). last week we finally went to San Diego Downtown, meeting both Jeffs (Shea's friends), had dinner with Loli, Yogi and Lisa. we had short San Diego' tour walked around the city. i did little bit shopping. Broadway... downtown San Diego has so many good fine dining/restaurants and shopping boutiques. very nice city, and walking distance; u can walk anywhere around downtown. palm trees along both sides of the road makes it so character and neat. we went to this village seaport, beautiful park near the city harbor where millions dollars boat parked! the sunset was beautiful...
strips house (if I'm not mistaken) was where we had our New York steak, delicious but we have to grill it ourselves which i think insufficient, pretty expensive too coz  i think we could have paid the same amount of price in other restaurant and have someone cooks for us:), we wont come back to this restaurant but life to learn!
Yogi invited us to this wedding reception, i was excited and wanted to see what is it like but we didn't know either of them (bride or broom) we came anyway. free flow wine or beer, i thought it's going to be no food or drink. i felt bad. then in the afternoon we had BBQ at Megan's house in Mission Bay. it was good and the chick was delicious.
Yogi;s 15.000 days was the next day, we went to see his marathon (swim, bike and run) competition in the morning, thousand of people here in San Diego signed up. Broken york was where we had our breakfast, it says a famous and the best restaurant for brunch. the portion was huge, i think it was OK, it serves champagne for breakfast too.
Prospect bar was where the 15.000 days of Yogi's celebration. it is in La jolla (which pronounce lahoya). i came there myself by bus. La Jolla is the Beverly Hills of San Diego where those rich people lives. it is beautiful there, many good shopping places, and restaurants. i arrived at 4 it was kind of late, many people came, they come and go at different times, some were stayed. we all were there for Yogi (who doesnt love Yogi:))
Time goes so quick, we are counting down the days of departure. it's going to be another long flight... a nightmare!

You won’t miss cookies if u never have one but once you have one and u like it im sure you want more! Im talking about me liking US. my friends might not miss it coz they have never been there and experience the life but I did and I know how it feels like! I have been to only 3 great countries where people wish to stay and immigrant; Canada, US and Australia. I compare a lot about each and I conclude or in my personal opinion US is my choice. It is not because the super power country, police of the world etc, but I see it from the “quality of life” that this county offers for me or perhaps my kids in the future. The quality of life, there is so much better… im talking about very simple things I need for daily life such us things that makes easy in the kitchen ; wash disher, nice oven, good clean water, cheap groceries, cheap food / eating out, good shopping,   very good transportation system , quick response of 911 or fire fighter, good sanitation, quick services (bank/post office/stor

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi
