Travel day KL-Bali!!

Are you still wondering how was my KL trip like? J I started my day very late… I left the hostel at 1pm walked around the hostel, rainy and city day. I just walked and walked and try the street food which is pretty much similar like Jakarta. what I dislike about the street is the Indian, I’m not being racist but those Indian guy on the street like to stare you, looks like they are ready to eat you alive. Make me feel insecure especially If I walk at night. Anyway.. I walked as far as I could, “ let’s get lost”.. Yes when I’m travelling I like to get lost, more things I see, I’m lost already away from home and explore this stranger homeland. I passed China town, Indian town, Pasar Raya, etc. I had my hair wash for 35 Ringgit ($12) and did little bit shopping. I went back to Hotel to have rest then continue walking. I walked to Kuala Lumpur Tower for 20 minutes at 7ish and already dark. I walked as fast as I could. It was kind of scary to walk to this half empty street. On...

Shopping at Local Mall, Beijing

The last two days In Beijing I decided to take it slow and enjoy the City. I cancelled to visit the temple I’m sure it is pretty much the same. I have seen the biggest temples in the world “Angkor Wat”. i wake up late, walked along the busy street of Beijing. I subway and bus it, so much easy to go around Beijing and it costs nothing. I went to “Silk market”, it is like MBK in Bangkok. Nice shopping mall selling fake stuff. But they look so real and so good. Any famous brand you could possibly find in one big shopping mall. Most of the visitors are tourists. It makes the prices more expensive than it supposes to.  I asked this very nice bag, she asked for 650RMB or about $105, Man I can buy real stuff with that much money. I walked away then the girl started to scream 150 ($25)RMB… what!!! I decided to leave I can’t deal with this kind of market and I’m not good at bargaining. So basically you can kill off 90% of the price they offer the first place. The tour guide tol...

Beijing zoo and local shopping mall

I expected to see many cute clean Panda, but there were only 3 big dirty bored Panda. Beijing zoo is totally not recommended to see. I went to the zoo with this Italian guy from the same dorm. He has never been to the zoo in his life, he was excited to see giraffe as he has never seen one. I said “lame”… so boring, I walked for more than hour n half nothing much to see other than tiny ducks, fish, monkeys, lame…. It was time-wasted. I couldn’t stay with him. I decided to leave and let him go himself. Indonesian zoo is way better. And I have been to the best zoo in the world, yes San Diego zoo. I have even skipped zoo in Sydney because I knew nothing compare to San Diego zoo. If Loli and Yogi were here, I would thanked them.  I have never been in such a big crowd, I mean everyday crowd other than China. Yes there are always people everywhere, a lot of people. I thought Jakarta was too crowded and too many people but Beijing is worse. There are 21 million people just in Bei...

Great Wall, Beijing China

Great wall One of the reasons I came to Beijing is the Great Wall. Angkor Wat (Cambodia), Niagara Falls (Canada) and Great wall in China… are all amazing, one of the seven wonders in the world. I was ready by 7am, 280RMB ($45) is included Breakfast, Ticket, lunch and transportation. It was way worthy. I had egg sandwich and apple juice for breakfast. Some guests from the same hotel also took the tour. We were the first to be picked, the bus then drove around city and picked some other guests. There were probably 15 of us. It took about an hour and half to get to the Mutianyu Great wall (which is the best because it has some authentic/original parts) I took this card, it was fun but pretty s I sat right behind the driver as always and I love the bus ride. It was the view I didn’t miss, I can see Beijing as a whole city, country side and mountain. Crazy ride the bus goes 80-90km/per hour.. for such a big @ss bus. It was pretty crazy especially on the street of Beijing. I saw ...

Beijing 2nd day Niu Jie Mosque

600 years old Niu Jie Mosque Beijing is a big city, way bigger than Jakarta.. wide and big road (some has 6 lines + one line for bicycles) so better transportation, and way organized. People in Beijing are nice and helpful too. What I like most about this city is the parks.. it’s everywhere. In the morning there are so many people doing exercise. There are so many old building or it built with the old style. Just like when you go to China town; the restaurant, street vendors selling fruit or food, clothing or souvenir stores, etc. The signs are in Chinese, Chinese songs are played everywhere, so many restaurant selling noodles and variety of food. Chinese likes to eat outside with family and friends, order big food and share it with chopsticks. Tea is like their beer, it is a must. I see taxi or bus driver has tea in a bottle. The street has its own characteristic; the smells, the food they offer, the people and Hutong. It is so Chinese and I can’t get Chinese than these. ...

Forbidden City and Tien An Men square

Forbidden City Mt first day in Beijing is the same day when I arrive, 5 hours extra sleep I then checked out and moved to my real room I booked in Internet. Yes it is a share room with 5 others people. i was thinking if it is going to be as bad as NY hostel then I might find my own room but it isn’t. the room is very nice with confi and white blanket. i share with 4 girls and 1 guy and 3 of them are American. Im glad I have someone to talk. i didn’t feel well after long walk to forbidden city. My throat hurt I guess I had tonsil inflammation cos of the MSG food I ate. Oh my oh my… I can’t eat anything here other than plain rice. Everything tastes so MSG and I’m allergic, it makes me sick. I asked the American girl for an aspirin i don’t trust medicine here cos they all in Chinese I can’t read sh#t. My very first Chinese meal was roast duck, 50 RMB or about ($9) , I have booked the great wall tour cost 280 RMB ($45) this is pretty expensive compare to the price of the tour...
