Padang-Padang, Uluwatu-Bali

Bali Bali Bali!! how i love you...
Uluwatu is the surf point where there are so many beautiful small beaches and good wave.. i took my sister to Padang Padang beach, i like to ask Shea to take me there and used to be one of our favourite beaches. It is about 45 minutes bike ride. It used to be a quiet place to swim but not any more since Julia Robert shot her "Eat Love Pray"'s movie there. Yes this place becomes famous and attracts more tourist. We bike everywhere around island.. it was fun but scary. Balinese drives as crazy as any other big cities in Indonesia. Only God and luck can save you!

We didnt really know where to go even i've been there many times. we are not really good at reading map either so we stopped in every corner ask here and there how to get there. we made it... Padang-Padang beach was packed... but still as beautiful as ever. I bought this purple bikini and swam in the ocean. felt so good!!! wish Shea was there so i could sit and paddle on his surf board. my sister didnt want to swim, she said too many people... she is shy. we dont know any body why should we? i kept telling her we are on vacation enjoy! i pointed this topless western girl whose enjoying the sun on the beach... "she doesn't care, why should you care?" she said too many local. Yes we don't wear bikini in Indonesia. very rarely, not on the beach.

we stayed for hours until sunset, it was beautiful. there was Reggae band playing, it was so nice so beachy, beach, sun, blue ocean, waves, and wind.... cant ask more than these! beautiful day.

Jimbaren is famous with seafood restaurants on the beach, we went there for dinner... i have never been there. It is only half and hour bike from Uluwatu. The restaurant display aquarium with live seafood inside.. we come and choose which one to eat.. feel sorry for those seafood. they were about to be eaten in our table:). We had fried Calamari, water grass, rice and seashells for less than $18 including coconut drink and my favourite ice lemon tea. Yum!!!

They set these white chair and table on the beach  with candle light, sound of the wave and nice ocean breeze. there was music playing slow beach song.. ahhh what a beautiful day what a beautiful dinner and what a life. Im on vacation!

You won’t miss cookies if u never have one but once you have one and u like it im sure you want more! Im talking about me liking US. my friends might not miss it coz they have never been there and experience the life but I did and I know how it feels like! I have been to only 3 great countries where people wish to stay and immigrant; Canada, US and Australia. I compare a lot about each and I conclude or in my personal opinion US is my choice. It is not because the super power country, police of the world etc, but I see it from the “quality of life” that this county offers for me or perhaps my kids in the future. The quality of life, there is so much better… im talking about very simple things I need for daily life such us things that makes easy in the kitchen ; wash disher, nice oven, good clean water, cheap groceries, cheap food / eating out, good shopping,   very good transportation system , quick response of 911 or fire fighter, good sanitation, quick services (bank/post office/stor

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi
