Bangkok: The night out and BBQ

Our second week in Bangkok and last weekend, my holiday in Thailand is almost over within couple days. Sad coz I do love it here. Bangkok is like a better version of Jakarta, much better and I love big city, crowded, people, stalls, malls, etc. for the last couple days we did the same stuffs; work out, pool, shopping and night out with the boys. Yesterday night our friends Rupert and Jeap took us to this nice restaurant called “Rooftop”, in the roof where the restaurant is… 3rd floor, It was nice, the food was good and affordable. I had Tom Yam soup as usual and they ordered many things, I did try it all.  Thai cultures; the person who orders is the one who will pay for the food.. that is very nice. So they paid the bill, Bless them. the couple went home then me n Shea continued our night with Steve and Ed. We went to Thai fancy club called “Neverland” . it was in the middle of no where, we saw many good n branded cars parked there, I was like “ah this is the place where rich Thai people hang out??. we got there, a group of young beautiful Thai girls greeted us. We, tourist couldn’t get in ourselves if we knew nobody, our friend Ed has a thai friend who invited him there. so we could came in, it was a fancy club, I didn’t really dress up nor Shea, I had red high heel with black-white blouse n grey pants.. didn’t go well!! Shea wore a muddy sandal n shorts. But since he’s white I guess they had no problem. We walked in, 5 girls came to us in a line. So the rule is the guess should pick the girls. We had no clue. They all pretty thai girl with sexy shorts and kinda brown lingerie on top. They all thought I was thai. Anyway… shea came with me so the boys had to choose, Ed just picked a tiny girl with bracelet n curly nice hair…but Steve refused to pick…so they brought new 7 line of girls in front of us, they thought Steve didn’t like the first line..it was so weird, unacceptable.. girls in line n we have to choose. They r not object nor toys.. what a life!! oh well “welcome to Bangkok”!! all possible things happens here! anyway, steve refused to pick n still the manager kept pushing him and felt unhappy about it! so they keep sending a girl so we had 2 thai girls in our table, the drink kept coming… those girls did some shot n shot!! At end the probably finished 2 bottles of liquor… so bad!! The bar tender also just kept our pouring drink without asking…
Anyway, the band was crappy… not until the Dj played disco music.. me n shea just danced n had a good time.. everyone was sitting... seriously they look boring!! No body danced except us n one thai guy I didn’t know his name…., the show started around mid night where the girls danced on the stage.. good looking, young and of course they dressed sexy.. all the young girls who works in the bar took their turn on stage n danced… (frankly speaking they all crappyy dancer.. they didn’t know how to dance… so bored, audience didn’t care anyway coz the show wasn’t about their talent but their curve etc… the show ended up with the topless girls walked on the stage… they all fake.. oh they look horrible nothing good about them but those boobies… (I personally think disgusting). The show was over, 1ish me n shea went back home but the boys stayed
Today, we had BBQ bcoz we r leaving on Tuesday… , Rupert was in charge.. we supposed to go shopping early at 9 but since the boys went out for rock band bar last night.. they went home late n wasted so we went shopping at around  11ish in traditional market across the street where we r staying… before shopping, we had thai massage…. It was not as good as my first massage… I felt like the lady just rubbed me instead of massaged... no power or the stretching… it was ok. Shopping we did… vegetables, meat, seafood, chicken etc  all are so damn cheap!!!  the BBQ was started around 3ish… squid, eggplants, corn, potatoes, chicken, yummm it was all delicious…. All gone.. I mean all the food was gone except 2 corns and morning glory which will be shea’s lunch tomorrow.. Shea hurried up to his hockey game, I was too tired, cleaned up the mess and stayed at home..
We had a great time so far, it isn’t about where you are and who do u with it is about YOU the one who make the fun n never rely on someone else to have fun!!…
I love Bangkok!

i wish i could go back n live in US

You won’t miss cookies if u never have one but once you have one and u like it im sure you want more! Im talking about me liking US. my friends might not miss it coz they have never been there and experience the life but I did and I know how it feels like! I have been to only 3 great countries where people wish to stay and immigrant; Canada, US and Australia. I compare a lot about each and I conclude or in my personal opinion US is my choice. It is not because the super power country, police of the world etc, but I see it from the “quality of life” that this county offers for me or perhaps my kids in the future. The quality of life, there is so much better… im talking about very simple things I need for daily life such us things that makes easy in the kitchen ; wash disher, nice oven, good clean water, cheap groceries, cheap food / eating out, good shopping,   very good transportation system , quick response of 911 or fire fighter, good sanitation, quick services (bank/post office/stor

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi
