P-town n Boat Ride #30 Cove Rd Cape Cod

Friday at #Cape Cod, we woke up late… we r normal person now n no more jet lag. We sleep for 6-8 hrs/day. We went for morning walk in the wood with Paul. It was great exercise.. I haven’t done such a thing for a long time last time I was in the wood in 2005, 6 years ago. I felt good and I liked it. the weather was nice, no humidity like Jakarta and the wood is a save place. Back home it’s very danger if u don’t know where u r going coz tropical forest has everything on it from wild animals like tiger, wild pigs, poisonous snakes, monkey, spider, u name it… it’s all there.
Paul is a real biker, he could bike from Boston all the way to Cape Cod for miles n miles. He has all the possible toys man has such us; a dozen of bike (some of it cost thousand Dollars), boats, and his Porsche. I have seen some expensive cars on the road but I’ve never known a man who has it. just like having celebrity as your friends, you r excited to see them. it’s a real deal Porsche… super cool. Anyway, Paul n Karen took us to the wellfleet beachcomber, it’s a nice restaurant near the beach… Karen made our lunch. We supposed to have it on the beach while enjoying the ocean n the sun but it didn’t happen coz shitty weather. It was freezing for me to go out… we ended up having lunch in the car.
Next was P-town or Province Town, is located at the end of the island, beautiful small town which is also popular with the gay town. It’s tourist destination n happens to be the most gay population. I’m sure they r everywhere but in this town, I have been told that they r more expressive and be the way they are, dress up, kissing, performing, etc. we got to the down town around 4ish pm. Oooh yea!!! I saw a lot of them everywhere… it’s crowded and packed with tourists… many good restaurant, art shops, boutique, stores etc. there were some candy shops too. We walked all the way along the main tourist streets. Karen took me to “a store” where they sell weird “stuffs” for those gays. Nasty…nasty!!! i saw baby T-shirts says “I love my 2 uncles/moms/dads/etc” , “hey mom im gay"-hat, etc. we walked for an hour then went back. I helped Karen to make chicken pamajan (not sure how to write it) it’s chicken wrapped with bread powder n cooked with tomato sauce + cheese.. delicious, easy to make and I love it. we played Jake’s favorite game. We ended the night with bond-fire outside the house. It took them about an hour to set the fire coz the wood and grounds were wet from the rain.
I’ve seen many interesting thing that I’ve never seen before in P-town and I had a good day!!! It’s nice to discover new things.. you feel the excitement!! It’s always never being too late to learn n see new stuffs...:)
Today; Saturday, I supposed to go with Karen n Mrs. Shea for garage sale but I woke up too late.. Mr. n Mrs. Shea came this morning from Hull, I had leftover chicken basil (Thai food) for breakfast…  and some cookies. Paul took us to his boat ride in the lake… n he let me held the stir, it was so awesome!! We went to this wood across the lake called “Lowell Holly Reservation”, it’s private and you have to have a member card in order to get in, another good morning walk. He knows the name of the trees, grass, etc, the one n only which scare us a lot is Poison Ivy, it’s 3 leafs small plant, it’s everywhere in the wood, very dangerous and could paralyze if you touch, it depends on how bad u have it. anyway, we went back home n had hot dog for lunch… so American but it was good. we went back to the boat ride with Karen, Mr. n Mrs. Shea. Karen brought some beers and played guitar. It was nice n sunny day, enjoying the sun in the boat with beautiful scene of quite lake… “this is what poor people do Diah” said Mr. Shea… hahah I love that!!! This is what poor people do; enjoying the sun in their private boat in the lake behind their big house!!! This is what wealthy people do!!:) good life they have!! We stayed for less than 2 hours then went home.
Dinner at Winny’s, it’s nice sea food restaurant (since 1939), I had pasta with seafood tomato sauce. It was big portion. It made me full just to look at it, most of the restaurant here serves every table a basket of bread which is very nice.. unlike Jakarta. The dinner was great but I couldn’t finished mind coz it was too much and not spicy, we always have a box leftover food of each restaurant we went too.  Paul gave us a short tour to see those beautiful and big houses belongs to rich-rich people, the houses are real big n nice… they must be millionaire, some looks like a modern castile.
I felt asleep right after we got home n woke up at 10PM. I went down stair  to see the Bond-fire they made… i told Shea not to keep everyone awake up late, it sucks to be stay up late n wake up the same normal time the next morning. We have no schedule n body clock like everyone else… no matter how late they go to bed they will wake up at the same time the do the next morning…n I know it’s not fun to have less sleep then you feel tired the next day… I think weekend should be relax and have some rest. is that true Shea… don’t let them ran away from us coz we mess their schedule. I will if I were them… I will say okey very nice to meet you bye bye…I gotta work to do… remember Kevin Joseph Shea don’t make them stay up late!!! U still have day time to talk.. !!!:)
ps: would like to Thanks alot to Karen n Paul who let us stay at their nice big house, im having a great time here... they r cool people i have ever met!!

i wish i could go back n live in US

You won’t miss cookies if u never have one but once you have one and u like it im sure you want more! Im talking about me liking US. my friends might not miss it coz they have never been there and experience the life but I did and I know how it feels like! I have been to only 3 great countries where people wish to stay and immigrant; Canada, US and Australia. I compare a lot about each and I conclude or in my personal opinion US is my choice. It is not because the super power country, police of the world etc, but I see it from the “quality of life” that this county offers for me or perhaps my kids in the future. The quality of life, there is so much better… im talking about very simple things I need for daily life such us things that makes easy in the kitchen ; wash disher, nice oven, good clean water, cheap groceries, cheap food / eating out, good shopping,   very good transportation system , quick response of 911 or fire fighter, good sanitation, quick services (bank/post office/stor

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi
