Old old blog i wrote!! 15 sept 2011

Some are wondering "why"; i will try to find simple examples.. why! i have been on the road for almost 4 months, im not staying in one country or city but im travelling around! 6 countries so far and more cities to count!! Overall i love America! why? so many reasons why! simple things to big things; (ps; you ain't say sh#t things abt me till you come here n experince the living yourself!!)
Let me see!!!
# Man!!! education is free here at least it's free until high school. most of the teacher in high schools are Master graduated they r well-educated. In Indo; nothing is free... Education is very expensive... if u poor and have no money then your kids cant go to school... what happen next! they couldn’t find a good job.. "rat-race" then when they get married, have low income, have no money, they cant send their kids to school. thats why i call it "rat-race"
#Health!! it's very expensive here.. if you have a permanent job...yes then u will be ok coz u will have health insurance.. they have good doctors.. less mal-practice coz u can sue!! apperantly people here like to sue! hey u can make alots of money:) in indo, Health is also expensive... but if something happens to u, u cant sue! sit-relax and pray! that's the only thing u can do!
#Law; is the real Law... you broke the rules then u will get punishment.. back home "law is money!" you break the rule u have money then u can be free... some one who steal an underwear will get the same punishment as a corruptor
#things around; I just love washing-dish-er!! Put the entire dirty dish in this small box, press the button then done! How come indo doesn’t have one? Even those richy richy family..oh yeah! They all have "maid" those un-lucky enough to have no money to go to school to have a better job end up become a maid!, the labor gets pay so much better here… I work my ass-off for a month but I get the same amount of those who work shitty job here for a week!!
#weather; oh yes Indo is the best!!! no snow nor spring or fall.. just sunny and bright day! Beautiful!
#People; Indo is so much nicer and friendlier…  Indo (but not all of them but most of them) tends to see things negatively and like to gossip… and some times they like to exaggerate things…bcoz they love each other then they tent to find out and want to know others' personal life...rarely giving complement or appreciation ! but people here is more individual! they respect others’ privacy and likes to give appreciation (thats why i see so many memorial stones/signs for their hero who died in War). They wont even care If their neighbors are gay but in indo "don’t ever try to sleep coz their eyes n ears r on u" -;
ohh I cant think of anything but many things are so much better than back home! The things I see here and the costume back home are like America back in 100 years ago!! thats what they said... So may be they are 100 years ahead than us in term of technology, costume, science, way of living etc etc!!!

Motherhood

Motherhood! I really enjoy being a mum, perhaps because my kids are young and I am  still in complete control of their life! their well being are depends on me as their mum. They said "Teach them what you wanted to learn when you were a little instead of give them what you wish to have" im not sure what I wanted or wish to learn. Perhaps Piano, I always wish I could be able to play any musical instruments or perhaps I wish I have the "people skill" how to deal with people as I was so shy. Most of those leaders aren't really the smartest but one thing they have in common is their skill of how to convincing or pursuing people! I know for sure the only precious thing I could give my kids is my time! playing and explaining thing. they are little so everything is new and there is always new exciting thing for them to know. like last week I told Zack we are going to have a walk to the hill next to little manly beach where there are little bunnies because...

My first 4th of July

It has been a week or so now we r staying at the Beach House in Hull… Summer is real hot like back home weather…   but at least we settle for a while…   same stuffs every day; wake up, have breakfast, beach/bay/ sunset, here n there random things to do, dinner then bed…   ah I feel   like a normal person again after a while..   4 th of July is American Independent Day, I heard about it in my history lesson but now I experienced it! first of July's Weekend, Everyone were here. Karen, Paul and Beando’s/ they came on Friday… the house became crowded but the more the merry… I’m glad I experienced real American family; live and interact with them. I’ve seen different people everyday, Shea keeps introducing me to new friends, cousin, uncles, 2 nd cousin, neighbors, etc…   I don’t even remember their name. the only one I remember is Wendy, nice neighbor who lives across the street. it’s part of experience I guess and this amazing trip.. the further you go t...

My Indo (Jambi) Wedding

Jambi Traditional wedding cloth hand painting One of the happiest days of my life… Yes the wedding went perfect like what I expected. Words can’t explain how I felt but I will try my best. Seems like everyone likes Yusuf Kevin (that’s what they called him). I really wish he could speak Bahasa, blame on me!! I was too lazy to teach him my language. On Saturday a day before the wedding, we visited my aunty, she offered Shea a place to stay but we refused, rejection isn’t polite here they expected you to always say Yes all the time. it is more to the culture thingy. We went back to the village… everyone was waiting and excited to see Bule (white/western) to take some pictures. Derek and Shea were like celebrity of the weekend. The kids followed wherever they went. Shea bought about 30 kids ice cream which cost only $5 they were all happy. Bless him. We stayed for a few hours and learn the Indo sentence for the marriage. Shea has to remember bahasa word “Aku terima nikahi ...
